Little pond in San Diego needs a rebuild
Went out the other day to talk with a nice lady, about re-doing her pond. Her gardener said he had build them before . She trusted him, and what she got was a DIY pond complete with flimsy liner, sump pump and lots of leaks. Well she put up with it as long as she could, Now the Pondman gets a turn.

We were called out to give an estimate for a pond re-do. It turned out that what the customer wanted was to remove the overgrown pond. It seems that after all the fish were lost to birds the home owner just lost interest. Well this is the perfect excuse to replace it with a pondless waterfall.We will see how this one turns out.
La Mesa Pond repair or fix my leak
Last week we had a call from a customer who has a pond in La mesa. the complaint was that the water keeps going down. Ok after a little discussion the customer agreed to turning off his water fall and watching the water level in the pond for a day or so.Well it didnt take more than two days for the pond water to stop going down.Now we had a good idea about where to look for a leak, The water level was an easy line around the pond to follow.After a little rock and boulder movement and a little time we found a hole in the liner.This pond had the typical EPDM rubber liner. The patch was a reltively simple fix . We then re-filled the pond ,while adding some De-chlorinator to treat the new water for the fish. The customer watched the level for the rest of the day and claimed it a fix. It doesnt always need to be a major thing , when your pond is losing water.
Skimmer replaced in San Diego county
Recently a customer in San Diego county called us out to replace the skimmer on his pond. When the pond was built next to a small palm tree,no problems were expected. Soon the small palm tree, grew into a large palm tree. The tree pushed and bent the skimmer to a point of not working. We drained the pond removed the origional skimmer, and installed an Aquascape Signiture 8.0 skimmer in its place.It took a little liner adjustment, but overall it went in pretty much as expected. We then finished with a pond clean out and installing LED under water lighting. It only took one day, and customer was happy. Pondman doing just what he is trained to do!

slowed down by the mess. When finished the customer was more than happy , with the results.We get paid to play in the mud too.

When you call a pond company, for a service or repair. You don’t always know what you are going to get.This is just how a recent customer felt, when the Pondman was called out for a pond clean out. We sent our most seasoned pondman out to do the work. After doing the clean out ,our man, Cuco was able to find a problem the home owner didnt even know he had.This older Aquascape pond was equiped with an automatic water fill valve, ( usually a good thing) however this time it had been hiding a problem. The pond had a hole in the liner. Because of the water fill valve , the home owner wasnt even aware of the leak. Well Cuco patched the hole.He also upgraded the pond to LED under water lights, and replaced an old skimmer filter pad.The customer was more than happy, with the results. So it really does pay to call a Certified Aquascape Contractor,(CAC), to work on your pond. They are constantly learning new skills and techniques for your pond. La Mesa pond needs cleaning!
We recieved a phone call from a home owner in La Mesa the other day. The long story short , was that his pond was green and yucky.We determined that the pressure filter hadnt been cleaned in some time, and the ultra violet bulb was not working. With a pond clean out and a filter flush along with a new UV bulb, This pond in La Mesa will be good as new.
Carlsbad, Its a lifestyle
Recently we were called out to Carlsbad, to do a pondless waterfall repair. It seems the pump had quit , after 6 years of service. This was a simple replacement, and was up and running quickly. While sitting here at the table with the homeowner , I was reminded, The feeling I was haveing,was almost entirely due to the waterfall, The mood was dictated by it. There is no better way to relax than to be able to go out in your own back yard, and forget the rest of the world.

This week a customer had the guys out to repair some leaks in the pond liner. After the rocks were removed Cuco found a lot more holes than expected. The customer decided that it would be smarter to replace the liner with a new one, This way we would be sure of no additional holes.After a hot sweaty long day they finished the job. Along with re-rocking the pond , a new waterfall was designed and built. It turned out beautiful.
